Maptuit Corp. (www.maptuit.com) has announced it reacted to the collapse of the I-35W bridge in Minnesota last Wednesday evening by quickly shutting down road segments around the affected area and by updating its FleetNav Directions.

The company said the new information was made available to dispatchers shortly after the update to help ensure that drivers and trucks would be diverted around the affected area.

“We are doing everything we can to help our customers get their drivers out of the affected area as quickly and as efficiently as possible by updating and providing them with real-time information” said Jeff Papows, president & CEO of Maptuit.

“Our team has been hard at work updating our network,” he added “We will continue to work with local and state officials and the Department of Transportation to provide our customers with the latest information that affects their drivers. We sincerely hope that none of our customer’s drivers were affected by this.”
