The state of South Carolina has rolled out a new fleet management platform to help it optimize operations of 16,000 vehicles used by some 200 agencies.

The FleetWave system from Chevin Fleet Solutions will allow the state to streamline fleet services such as vehicle procurement, including the acquisition of alternative fuel vehicles; maintenance and repair services; call center support and vendor authorization and payment processing; fuel-card management; and fleet safety and accident management services.

FleetWave offers an overall view of all fleet-related information, Chevin said, resulting in improved fleet utilization and reduced operating costs. It can accessed remotely with a web browser.
