Fleet software developer TMW Systems says it has signed its 500th client and in the month of April alone added nearly 4,000 trucks to the 120,000 vehicles managed by its solutions. Eleven new customers in that one-month period included bulk, flatbed, van and private fleets, according to the company.

Two private fleets — Trinity Industries and General Aluminum — have installed the PeopleNet onboard computing and mobile communications systems, according to the company. A third private fleet, Shaw Industries, has added the company's onboard event recording (OER) to PeopleNet units used by its interplant hauling division. The new system feature offers second-by-second recorded data to help managers reconstruct accidents and review driver performance.
