New software for the Windows Pocket PC operating system allows fleets to replace bulky laptop PCs with smaller handheld devices for downloading and managing data from dataloggers and controllers on Thermo King refrigeration units.
Pocket Wintrac is an extension of the company's Wintrac PC application, supporting data downloads from Thermo King SmartReefer 2 controllers, AccuTrac in-cab dataloggers, TranScan data recorders and its Data Acquisition System. It also allows technicians to upload new reefer unit configurations or to program their own data recording parameters.
Other functions for the new Pocket PC applications include driver verification of cargo temperatures at delivery points and transfer of that information to customer PCs. It also simplifies transfer of collected information to Thermo King's FleetWatch management software for creating diagnostic and maintenance reports.
