Mentor Engineering has released Ranger, a rugged mobile computer with an integrated suite of options. Ranger accommodates hands-free voice calling and turn-by-turn navigation, Mentor said.
The wireless model supports both data and voice communications on General Packet Radio Service and Code Division Multiple Access networks. The computer includes a 16-channel GPS receiver, magnetic stripe reader, Smart Card reader, multiple inputs/outputs and MIL STD 810F rating.
Users can update programs from home or office using the XMobile Manager software, according to the company.
