Toyo Tires has introduced a new tire for truck trailers called the M-127. Toyo says the M-127 is the latest trailer-specific tire developed through the company's proprietary computer design program, which tests a variety of tire styles under different operating conditions. It features a full-depth differential groove to help reduce irregular tire shoulder rib wear; a steel-cord wire chafer reinforced bead to help reduce bead wire damage; and four-belt construction to minimize cutting and impact damage. The tire also features special compounding to extend casing life by reducing the impact of heat and stress. The extra-wide casing on the M-127 makes retreading easier.
