BEST PRACTICES SAFETY GUIDE
In the first six months of its existence, NPTC's Best Practices Safety Guide® is helping deliver improved safety performance to dozens of America's leading private fleets. The Guide is an on-line benchmarking management tool which provides companies with a snapshot of how they “stack up” in six areas of safety performance: Leadership/Management; the Driver; Maintenance; Event Management; Culture; and Evaluation/Assessment/ Measurement. Companies can compare their scores with the averages of all participating NPTC Fleet members. Customized feedback provides participants with recommended best practices to aid improvement. The Guide is sponsored by ACS/Pre-Pass with technical and software support from Zurich Insurance and Interactive Driving Systems, in collaboration with the NPTC Safety Committee. Contact Bob Inderbitzen, CTP, NPTC's Director of Safety and Compliance, at [email protected].

“MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN”
Joining the NPTC is just the first step. The real payoff comes from getting involved directly in Council activities. Sign up for one of the above meetings; join the Safety Committee or the Legislative and Regulatory Advisory Committee. NPTC helps you learn new things and translate knowledge into solutions. To realize optimal ROI from NPTC, fleet managers “must be present to win” by engaging in our activities directly and continuously. Remember, the take-home value for members is infinitely greater than the cost of participation.
