The theme of NPTC 2002 is “Shaping Transportation for Tomorrow”, a most appropriate focus for these turbulent times. Our Annual Education Management Conference and Exhibition has always been the industry meeting for transportation professionals. This year's Conference will address the most current issues in our industry, from the latest information on safety and government regulations to human resources solutions.

We are pleased to have The Honorable Joseph M. Clapp, Administrator, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, as our keynote speaker at the Tuesday, April 30th Breakfast/Roundtable Discussion. FMCSA is one of nine administrations within the U.S. Department of Transportation and the first new agency created by Congress in more than 30 years. The agency is solely dedicated to improving truck and bus safety on the nation's highways. Mr. Clapp has an extensive background in the transportation field, most recently as Chairman of Roadway Services, Inc. of Akron, Ohio.

Another keynote speaker scheduled is Mike Janke of Special Operations Consulting. Mr. Janke is a highly decorated Navy Seal Commando and former member of the government's top secret Anti-Terrorist SEAL Team 6, a best selling author and performance consultant for the U.S. Olympics. Drawing from his military training and experiences, he will share practical techniques for improving individual and corporate efficiency. He has appeared on “60 Minutes”, CNN and PBS. Join Mr. Janke at the NPTC 2002 Welcome Brunch/Award Ceremony on Sunday, April 28th.
