MobileMax is a multi-mode system that uses both satellite- and land-based networks, balancing low-cost communications with complete wireless coverage.

Drivers with AT&T mLife or Nextel wireless service can get color weather radar images on their phones with Mobile My-Cast. The new service also includes weather warnings, watches and alerts, as well as hour-by-hour forecasts for specific routes in the U.S. www.digitialcyclone.com

James Brown Trucking of Lithonia, GA, is adding wireless tracking to 1,000 of its trailers. The fleet has chosen the GlobalWave MT2000 system from Vistar Datacom, which will be integrated with its TruckMate fleet management software.
