76 Lubricants Co. has reformulated its line of Super motor oils to meet GF-3 category requirements, the newest engine oil service category for automotive gasoline engines. GF-3 requirements provide a significant upgrade in performance, including lower volatility, which results in up to 40% less oil consumption; improved high temperature deposit control for better piston ring cleanliness, longer engine life, and improved turbocharger performance; and improved antioxidancy for cleaner engines, better oil pumping ability and longer oil life. These benefits should compensate for the price increase over GF-2 oils — necessitated by the use of higher-quality base oils.
