Orbcomm Global has received regulatory approval from the government of Mexico to supply satellite communications services for trailer tracking and other mobile telemetry services. Coverage in Mexico for Orbcomm services, including its Vantage trailer tracking system, will begin immediately, according to CEO Scott Webster.

The company's LEO satellite network now offers seamless two-way wireless coverage "from pole to pole, not just North America," Webster says, with full operating authority in South and Central America, as well as in the three North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) partners.
