Holland Anchorlok recently introduced its next-generation LIFE SEAL spring brake, developed as part of the company's effort to eliminate corrosive contaminants as a cause of spring brake failure.

Described as a completely sealed emergency chamber spring brake, the unit's design eliminates the need for vent holes, breather tubes and air filters — making it virtually impossible for water or other contaminants to enter the emergency chamber and attack the main spring. Instead, an internal valve allows air to exhaust through the vehicle's air system.

Additional features include a form-fitting pressure plate, which Holland Anchorlok says is the “smallest standard and long stroke spring brake available.” Spring life has been extended without sacrificing output through use of a heat-treated compression spring with an increased wire diameter that reduces internal stress. The new brake is backed by a six-year, unlimited mileage warranty.
