The untethered trailer tracking system FleetView 3 from Terion Inc. now offers an interface for a web-services dispatch application and a data-sharing link for an in-cab onboard computer.

The web-services interface allows the Terion trailer tracker to pass on data to the AS/400 management application developed by Add On Systems Inc. The new interface transfers trailer information from Terion's web site to the Add On's iSeries AS/400 platform and optional modules for trailer control, trailer pools, trailer alerts, trailer detention and trailer utilization reporting.

The OBC link allows the trailer unit to share a single data format with the DT4000 Truck PC from DriverTech Inc. when a tractor is connected to the trailer. The DT4000 is a Windows XP-based onboard computer with tri-mode satellite, cellular and WiFi wireless communications.
