Volvo reorganizes

Volvo Global Trucks has announced that Mack Trucks Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA), its two North American operating units, will maintain separate headquarters, each with its own management. Mack's headquarters will remain in Allentown, PA, while VTNA will stay in Greensboro, NC. However, several functions will be brought under the common leadership of VTNA president & CEO Michel Gigou.

Volvo Global Trucks has announced that Mack Trucks Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA), its two North American operating units, will maintain separate headquarters, each with its own management. Mack's headquarters will remain in Allentown, PA, while VTNA will stay in Greensboro, NC.

However, several functions will be brought under the common leadership of VTNA president & CEO Michel Gigou. The following individuals will be based out of Greensboro and report directly to Gigou:

  • Terrence C. Grube, vp-legal.

  • Göran R. Gustafsson, vp-customer engineering.

  • Sam Johnston, vp-dealer development.

  • Rikard Jonsson, senior vp-parts sales and marketing.

  • Marc J. Kalbermatten, vp-IS/IT.

  • Mark T. McLaughlin, senior vp-human resources.

  • John Mies, vp-communications.

  • Harold W. Wiegel, vp-customer satisfaction.

As part of the September 28 reorganization announcement, Volvo Global Trucks said that it will close the Mack Winnsboro, SC, plant within the next 15 months.
