County Transit (CT), a WI-based motor carrier, says it will improve customer service and productivity by adopting a wireless communications system for its fleet of concrete delivery, dump and boom trucks. CT says it will install the MobileMax2 communications system from Aether Systems in its fleet of 150 trucks by the end of the year.
CT says it will also use the wireless system to manage drivers' idle time, prevent damage to its vehicles, and better calculate distances traveled by its trucks.
“Our business demands that we serve remote parts of the Midwest, so investing in a system that keeps us in constant communications with our drivers was imperative,” says CT's Andy Dupuis. “The dual-mode capabilities of Aether's MobileMax2 exceeded our needs and is already driving a positive return on investment.”
