The Heil Institute of Technology has announced its 2008 schedule of factory training courses for technicians. Heil has reduced class size to 10 students-- taught by two instructors-- for more individual attention, the company said.

“We refine our training curriculum every year,” said Joel Barnes, Heil technical training manager. “By decreasing class size, adding another instructor and featuring more hands-on training, we’ll be able to provide technicians with valuable experience they can apply when they get back to their own fleets.”

According to the company, the classes will cover basic hydraulics, pneumatics and DC electronics, cycle times and unit operation, preventative maintenance, settings, and other technical aspects on specific Heil bodies.

The classes will be held at the Heil Customer Support Center in Fort Payne, AL and in Phoenix, AZ. The non-refundable fee for the Fort Payne classes is $500 per person, while classes in Phoenix will cost $250, with students responsible for travel, lodging, and meals excluding lunch.
