HDMA names Michels 2009 chairman

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) has named Dennis Michels its 2009 chairman

The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) has named Dennis Michels its 2009 chairman. Michels, president & CEO of Link Manufacturing, has been a member of the HDMA board since 2004 and was vice chairman in 2008.

Michels succeeds Joseph McAleese, president & CEO of Bendix CVS, who will remain on the board as immediate past chairman. The new vice chairmen of the board will be Terry Keating, chairman of Accuride Corp., and Jack Shaffer, president & COO of Bergstrom.

Other new members of the HDMA board are Pat Cavanaugh, president & COO, Williams Controls; Pedro Ferro, president, Webb Wheel; and Tim Meyer, vp and gm, Alcoa CV Wheel.
