Waste Management of Ohio has acquired local operator Metro Waste Disposal, a solid waste services company serving primarily business customers in the Cleveland, Akron and Canton areas of Ohio. Waste Management of Ohio is a subsidiary of Houston-based national refuse firm Waste Management, Inc.
Metro Disposal has offices in Cleveland and Canton, OH, primarily serving commercial and industrial customers. Those operations will be combined with Waste Management's network of Ohio service locations as personnel and equipment needs are assessed, the companies said.
Both firms added that customers will continue to see trucks with both company logos as the Metro Disposal trucks are gradually rebranded to Waste Management colors and signage.
