Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) announced today that Scott Damon, director-- strategic channels & products for Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS), has been promoted to vp of marketing for BBTS, effective immediately. In his new role, Damon will be responsible for the creation and implementation of tire solutions strategies that support BBTS’ new and retread tire sales business.

Damon began his career with BBTS in 1996 as research engineer-- retread process at Bandag, Inc. As he progressed through the company’s ranks, he filled many key roles in marketing. In 2005, Damon was promoted to director of marketing, and in 2008 was named director- strategic channels & products. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Frostburg State University (MD).
