Meeting in Indianapolis on August 27 to 29, the annual FTR Associates conference will look ahead five years at transportation freight demand, according to the forecasting and research firm.

Meeting in Indianapolis on August 27 to 29, the annual FTR Associates conference will look ahead five years at transportation freight demand, according to the forecasting and research firm.

Presenters are expected to address truck, rail, water and air transportation through 2011, and will include shipper, carrier and 3PL perspectives.

Opening the three-day event will be an economic outlook panel chaired by Jim Meil, chief economist for the Eaton Corp. His panel will include William Strauss, a senior economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and Bill Witte, co-director of the center for Econometric Model Research.
