Con-Way Freight, the LTL arm of Con-way, announced that driver David May has been selected to serve on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Commercial Driver’s License Advisory Committee

Con-Way Freight, the LTL arm of Con-way, announced that driver David May has been selected to serve on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) Commercial Driver’s License Advisory Committee.

May, who has 27 years of experience as a professional truck driver, was the lead speaker at the April Advisory Committee meeting in Arlington, VA. He advocated the need for improving driver training and incorporating more actual driving scenarios into the CDL road test.

He was also a captain of ATA’s. 2005-2006 America’s Road Team, a national safety and education outreach program.
