Starting today, fleets can now preview their Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010 data through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) website.

Fleets will be able to see their safety rankings under the new CSA 2010 program, which will officially rollout on Dec. 5, 2010. By previewing the data, carriers will be able to see a clear assessment of how they perform in the seven CSA 2010 Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs).

The BASICs are: Unsafe Driving, Fatigued Driving (Hours-of-Service), Driver Fitness, Controlled Substances/Alcohol, Vehicle Maintenance, Cargo-Related and Crash Indicator.

The rollout of CSA 2010 had been delayed by FMCSA due to concerns from stakeholders, including the American Trucking Assns. Those concerns were addressed and changes were made to the program.
