Fleet Owner columnist recognized for industry contributions

Kevin Rohlwing, senior vp of training for the Tire Industry Association and a columnist for Fleet Owner magazine and its sister publication, American Trucker, recently was one of five industry professionals to be awarded the Technology & Maintenance Council’s (TMC) Silver Spark Plug award.

Rohlwing and four others – Jerry Hubbell, vp-business development for Vehicle Enhancement Systems; Dale Overton, manager of corporate integrity for Accuride; Randy Patterson, senior field engineer for Bridgestone-Bandag Tire Solutions; and Chas Voyles, fleet service manager for Navistar International – received the award for outstanding contributions to the improvement of equipment, maintenance, industry-related technology and management practices.

From Bowie, MD, Rohlwing has been a TMC member since 1996. In addition to actively contributing to the creation of numerous TMC Recommended Practices or RPs within the organization’s S.2 Tire and Wheel Study Group, he has given substantial support to its annual “SuperTech” competition as well as organized several technical sessions at the group’s annual meetings.
