The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has announced that it will offer a risk management program called FleetAhead, to commercial fleet customers with loss-sensitive insurance programs. According to Hartford, FleetAhead integrates vehicle telematics offered by preferred providers with specialized loss control services and customized reports to help fleet managers identify ways to reduce risky driving behavior and lower vehicle operating costs.
The program is designed to:
- Measure specific driving risk through the use of telematics solutions chosen by the fleet
- Coach fleet and risk managers on incorporating driver performance data into risk management programs
- Improve fleet performance
According to the announcement, preferred telematics providers for FleetAhead currently include DriveCam, Inc., which specializes in video-based telematics, and the Evogi Group, a provider of vehicle insurance telematics capabilities. The company said it expects additional providers to join program in the next several months.
