Love’s Travel Stops donates $1 million to Children’s Miracle Network

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is donating $1 million to the Children’s Miracle Network charity.

Children’s Miracle Network raises money for more than 170 children’s hospitals nationwide.

Fundraisers conducted by Love’s employees throughout the month of September in addition to the generosity of customers who donated amounts between $1 and $25 raised $965,776 for the fund. The Love family added the additional $34,000 to make it an even million.

“Children’s Miracle Network moves forward with the important work of raising funds for children’s hospitals because of dedicated supporters like Love’s,” said Scott Burt, president & CEO, Children’s Miracle Network. “For the past four years, Love’s has continually increased its fundraising total, and we congratulate Love’s for reaching its long-time goal of raising $1 million for children’s hospitals.”

The funds raised from Love’s four-week campaign will help create miracles by funding medical care, research and education that saves and improves the lives of 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year. The funds stay in the community where they were raised, in this case the money will go to 86 hospitals that are in communities where Love’s operates.

“Love’s is excited to make a $1 million contribution to Children’s Miracle Network, the majority of which our store teams raised,” said Jenny Love Meyer, director, communications, Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores. “The energy that they exhibited during the campaign was palpable. I appreciate them and the customers who donated to Children’s Miracle Network.”

Since 1998, Love’s has raised $4.5 million for the Children’s Miracle Network.
