Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) has added its 100th Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van dealership, bringing the total number of Sprinter dealerships to 156 with the inclusion of the Freightliner Sprinter network.

“This milestone in the development of our sales & service network underscores our commitment to the U.S. market,” said Claus Tritt, general manager of commercial vans for MBUSA. “True to our philosophy “The Best – or Nothing,” we have been selective in our expansion of the commercial vehicle dealer body and will continue to appoint dealers in strategic locations to service the needs of our Sprinter customers.”

MBUSA began offering the Sprinter through select dealerships last year. The van has been sold with a Freightliner badge since 2001. Both MBUSA and Freightliner are divisions of Daimler AG.

The Sprinter van line includes five models: cargo van, passenger van, minibus, chassis cab and the new crew van. Both the cargo and passenger vans feature a side-door opening that’s 51 in. wide and 59 in. high, with a 71-in. height on high-roof versions. At the same time, their step-in height is 19.9 in.

All Sprinter Vans are equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 diesel that gets 30% better fuel economy than a comparable gasoline engine. Five-speed automatic transmissions, and four-wheel disc brakes are also part of the package.
