Terminal Trucking of Concord, NC, closed its doors, laying off approximately 150 employees, according to a report by WCNC News. Founded in 1943, the company said it is ceasing operations because the bank had called in its note after the company failed to make timely payments.

Terminal Trucking operated facilities in Knoxville and Atlanta as well as Concord.

“Life goes on. It’s going to go on, so I’m not going to boo-hoo about it,” Perry Lammons, a driver at Terminal for 20 years, told WCNC News.

Gene Isenhour, who worked with his father, who founded Terminal, said they sold the company to new owners four years ago.

“Broken hearted,” Isenhour said. “I’ve known lot of these guys 35, 40 years.”
