NTEA offering training for vocational truck fleet operators

The National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA) is now offering both one- and two-day on-site training programs for vocational fleet owners. The training courses are designed for commercial, utility, and government fleet executives. The National Truck Equipment Assn. (NTEA) is now offering both one- and two-day on-site training programs for vocational fleet owners. The training courses are designed for commercial, utility, and government fleet executives. According to NTEA, the courses provide the most comprehensive on-site vocational vehicle training available.

All the programs are tailored to each trucking operations’s unique circumstances. A single day of training encompasses four courses for $1,500. Eight courses are covered over two full days for $2,500. Expenses are not included.

Among the courses offered are:

  • Vehicle weight distribution analysis
  • Basic powertrain analysis
  • Truck equipment and body design principles
  • Truck chassis design principles
  • Equipment and chassis specifications
  • New vehicle quality assurance

NTEA said each course aims to be engaging, logical and interactive. Real-world strategies and practical techniques are offered to boost productivity, improve life-cycle costs and stretch budget dollars.

The courses, led by NTEA experts, will also help any fleet manager develop and write clear and concise truck specifications to meet their individual needs.
