According to Triangle Suspension Systems, its new replacement spring for Mack Camelback suspensions cuts approximately 216 lbs off a vehicle without sacrificing performance. The spring is designed to mate with existing components.
Triangle said the replacement unit is easy to install and was field-tested for nearly 10 months on a variety of trucks including front- and rear-loading refuse trucks, roll-offs, and dump trucks.
“Feedback from the drivers and installers has been positive,” said Rick Kempski, Triangle president. “The spring has performed equal to or better than the standard spring in terms of load carrying, ride and stability.”
Installation requires use of a shorter u-bolt, the company noted, but is otherwise no different than a conventional spring.
