YRC Inc. has designed a shipping program to ensure that items with the potential to freeze are protected throughout the shipping process. The program offers two levels of protection, freezable protection and insulated covers.
YRC said freezable protection provides special handling procedures, weather monitoring and indicators to track the shipment. The insulated covers for drums, pallets and totes offer a second level of protection, the company added.
Freezable protection, which is available to customers by simply marking “protect from freezing at…,” is available for year-round pickups Monday through Friday. Insulated covers are available Nov. 1 through April 15.
