LTL carrier Saia Inc. has announced the recipients of its 2007 scholarship award program, which is open to employees attending college as well as dependents

LTL carrier Saia Inc. has announced the recipients of its 2007 scholarship award program, which is open to employees attending college as well as dependents who are full-time college students.

Six scholarships of $2,000 each were awarded to: Eric Copes, Wichita, KS; Mandi Dillingham, Oklahoma City, OK; Athena Gilson, San Diego, CA; Heather Guzar, Mucscle Sholas, AL; Jonathon Mayhew, Imperial CA; and Shane Prejean, Houma, LA.

Scholarships of $1,000 were given to: Renee Coppa, Damascus, OR; Christi Grudier, Beaumont, TX; Jeffery Hutchins, Stephenville, TX; Alecia Smith, Pinconning, MI; Lacy Strom, Bennesttsville, SC; and Bailey Williams, Fort Smith, AR.

Saia president & CEO Rick O’Dell said the program was created to reinforce the importance of higher education and as a benefit for employees and their children.
