Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, Dayton Parts, Haldex, Odyssey Battery and SKF are now accepting applications for their 2007 Technician of the Year Award

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, Dayton Parts, Haldex, Odyssey Battery and SKF are now accepting applications for their 2007 Technician of the Year Award. The award, which was first given in 2005, was created to recognize a technician who exemplifies the best qualities of the profession.

"A skilled technician is one of the cornerstones of a successful, safe, and effective maintenance program,” said John Flad, vp of North American Aftermarket Sales for Bendix. “The Technician of the Year Award is a new and exciting way to recognize the true value and dedication of these talented professionals to fleets across North America. “

Fleet managers can nominate a technician by visiting the Technician of the Year website or through links on each of the five sponsor company web sites until December 1st. A panel of independent judges will select a winner, who will be announced at Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW), January 21 to 24, 2008 in Las Vegas. The winner will receive a VIP trip to the conference and be honored at a reception.
