Joyce Brenny, recently named the Women In Trucking Assn.’s 2012 “Most Influential Woman in Trucking” will be the keynote speaker at WIT’s third annual Salute to Women Behind the Wheel at the Mid-America Trucking Show March 22-24 in Louisville, KY.
Brenny is the chairwoman of the Minnesota Trucking Assn. and is the first woman to serve as head of the association. Brenny, owner of Brenny Transportation Inc. and Brenny Specialized Inc. in St. Cloud, MN, is also a member of the Owner-Operator Independent Driver’s Assn.
The program will include recognition for outstanding safety and performance accomplishments of professional female drivers. Salute participants will be treated to music, refreshments, prizes and goodie bags. Terry Wooley and Highway Fever will perform. A group photo is planned for participants.
The Salute to Women Behind the Wheel will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday in rooms C201-C205 in the upper level of the South Wing at the Mid-America show. Doors open at noon. Drivers can register at the show at the Women In Trucking booth, #40565.
