ChevronTexaco Global Lubricants is changing its name slightly, to ChevronTexaco Products Co. It also wrapped up a deal with Volvo Trucks North America to provide Chevron Delo Gear Lubricant ESI 80W-90 as Volvo’s factory fill option for its VN model Class 8 tractors.
ChevronTexaco added that its Delo Gear Lubricant ESI 80W-90 is designed to offer better iron wear and the same fuel economy as synthetics but at a lower cost. The company said its gear lubricant is also fully compatible with both synthetic and mineral oil products and can be used to top off gear oil reservoirs.
ChevronTexaco not only has altered its name but is “reducing and streamlining,” to use the company’s phrasing, the number of downstream divisions that had been created since Chevron merged with Texaco in late 2001.
As a result, all activities and operations in the U.S., which were previously conducted by ChevronTexaco Global Aviation and ChevronTexaco Global Supply and Trading, will now be conducted under the ChevronTexaco Products name, the company said.
