Qualcomm Inc., a mobile communications service provider for the transportation industry, has announced the promotion of Norman L. Ellis to vp & gm for Qualcomm Wireless Business Solutions (QWBS).
In his new role, Ellis will be responsible for overseeing the transportation and logistics markets and promoting Qualcomm’s fleet management solutions.
“Most recently, he has played a pivotal role in the development of our homeland security solutions,” said Chris Wolfe, president of QWBS.
Prior to his role in homeland security, Ellis provided leadership for the Private Fleet and LTL markets for QWBS. Ellis joined Qualcomm in 1998 as director of program and product development for QWBS.
