Miami-based Ryder System has named Gregory Hyland as executive vp of its Fleet Management Solutions subsidiary, reporting directly to Greg Sweinton, Ryder’s chairman, president & CEO. Fleet Management Solutions is Ryder’s largest business segment, consisting of 850 locations, servicing more than 12,000 customers with a fleet of more than 145,000 vehicles in the U.S.

Dick Carson, senior vp at Fleet Management Solutions -- responsible for field operations and maintenance -- and Todd Renehan, senior vp of asset management, sales and marketing, will now both report to Hyland.

Hyland formerly served as president of the Industrial Products division at Textron, a $12-billion multi-industry company specializing in making aircraft components and fastening systems, industrial products and components.
