AB Volvo reports strong 1Q deliveries

Sweden’s AB Volvo has announced its three truck OEM subsidiaries expanded deliveries 22% between January and April of this year compared to the year-earlier period. Mack deliveries rose 55%, Volvo Trucks grew 23% and Renault rose 11%.

During the past 12 months, order bookings in North America increased 47%.

Volvo notes truck deliveries are not the same as retail sales, but represent the number of trucks transferred to dealer inventories or sent directly to customers.
