RFID systems provider Axcess International Inc. has branched out from its base of vocational customers into the trucking industry with FleetTag.
FleetTag is designed to be integrated with systems such as stand-alone gate controllers and yard management software.
The company provides a selection of RFID tags that can be mounted on truck bodies and trailers and windshields, as well as personnel tags for drivers.
The system runs on software that enables real-time tracking of the tags while providing email alerts, trend analysis and customized report generation. The middleware can easily link into existing database applications, Axcess said.
