BP expands Castrol Tection Extra channels

BP Lubricants USA Inc. has announced it will now also offer its Castrol Tection Extra, a 15W-40 diesel engine oil, through retail, truckstop and auto-parts channels

BP Lubricants USA Inc. has announced it will now also offer its Castrol Tection Extra, a 15W-40 diesel engine oil, through retail, truckstop and auto-parts channels.

Retail locations will include AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, CSK, Pep Boys, O’Reilly, Strauss, Love’s Truck Stops and Wal-Mart.

Castrol Tection Extra meets CI-4 Plus specifications and passed the Mack T-11 soot handling test. The product is available in SAE 15W-40 grade where API CI-4 Plus, CI-4, CH-4, CG-4, CF-4/SL is recommended for stay-in-grade requirements.

“Now owner-operators can get the same protection and superior products that we’ve been providing to fleet and off-road customers,” noted Karla DelGallo, brand manager, Consumer Truck for BP Lubricants USA Inc. “We see this as a great opportunity to bring our premium products to more users through this new channel.”
