Carrier Transicold announced a new line of direct-driver truck refrigeration units called the X series

Carrier Transicold announced a new line of direct-driver truck refrigeration units called the X series. Models 50X and 40X are successors to the company’s Integra 50S for large trucks and 40S for mid-size vehicles, respectively.

Part of the X series design includes larger condenser and evaporator coils, providing “better pull-down and superior temperature recovery from door openings and delivery,” according to Carrier Transicold.

The 50X generates airflow of 1250 cfm and has a cooling capacity of 17,000 Btu, with a set point of 35F° at 100F° ambient. Specs for the 40X are 860 cfm airflow and 15,000 Btu of cooling at a 35F° set point.

Housing size and weight are comparable to the Integra models.

For smaller vehicles, Carrier offers the 20X, which is equipped with a condenser-valve-enhanced heat system, rooftop mount kit and refrigerant discharge muffler. The 20X delivers airflow of 500 cfm and cooling capacity of 7200 Btu of 35F° at 100F° ambient.
