Jacksonville-based Ceva Logistics has appointed Jerry Riordan managing director of its North American operation. Riordan succeeds Jeff Hurley who has been promoted to senior vp of Ceva’s global automotive logistics business.
Before joining Ceva, Riordan worked for a variety of firms in the logistics field, starting with Ryder, where he spent the first 25 years of his career, ultimately becoming president & COO of Ryder TRS.
Riordan also was CEO of United Road Services. For the past five years, he served as president of Denver-based Budget Truck Rentals, where Ceva noted he “led the turnaround of a significant business.”
“Jerry is a senior level executive with a strong track record of profitably growing complex, national service businesses,” said Dave Kulik, Ceva Logistics CEO. “We believe Jerry is uniquely qualified to lead the organization in further developing its logistics franchise in North America, one that already has a strong book of business and a track record for delivering value to its customers.”
