Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC said it will expand its executive board from two to three people and will name a new president and CEO later this year.  The company’s current chairman, president and CEO Joe McAleese will head the board as chairman and will be joined by current COO Carlos Hungria and the new president /CEO.

Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC said it will expand its executive board from two to three people and will name a new president and CEO later this year.  

The company’s current chairman, president and CEO Joe McAleese will head the board as chairman and will be joined by current COO Carlos Hungria and the new president /CEO.

A 30-year veteran with Bendix, McAleese was named president of the North American brake and safety system company in 2002, adding the CEO title in 2003 and the chairman’s role last year.   He is also the past president of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Assn. (HDMA) and a board member of the Motor Equipment Manufacturers Assn. (MEMA).

Hungria was appointed COO of Bendix in 2012, joining the company after 30 years with the Volvo organization.

Bendix is part of the Knorr-Bremse Group, the German-based supplier of braking and related safety systems for commercial vehicles and railroad applications.
