DHL names new CIO

Plantation, FL-based expedited carrier DHL has appointed Maryann Goebel as its CIO for DHL Express in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets/Latin America

Plantation, FL-based expedited carrier DHL has appointed Maryann Goebel as its CIO for DHL Express in the Americas, Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets/Latin America.

Goebel formerly served as CIO for General Motors, handling all of the carmaker’s IT-related activities for its North American vehicle business. She also served as GM’s chief global strategy officer.

At DHL Express, Goebel’s responsibilities will include oversight of all IT initiatives in the regions and chairing the DHL Express IT board, a global function for establishing information technology strategic direction.
