The average national price for a gallon of diesel remains unchanged from last week’s $2.116. This may indicate that this month’s falloff from October’s record-high crude oil prices have fully passed through at the retail level.
The steepest price drop was posted at the region that needed it the most— California, which is down 1.2 cents to $2.287 per gallon. California remains the most expensive region to fill up. The Gulf Coast posted the largest price gain, up 0.5 cents to $2.053. Despite this, the Gulf Coast remains the cheapest region for diesel.
