Susan Alt has been named President and CEO of Volvo Logistics North America, Inc., effective immediately. Alt was formerly vice president - marketing for Volvo Trucks North America, Inc.
Alt succeeds Ake Niklasson, who earlier this year left Volvo Logistics North America, Inc. to lead Volvo Logistics' global operations. Alt, 38, has been with Volvo Truck Corporation for 15 years, both in the U.S. and Sweden.
Previously, Alt served in a number of positions within Volvo Trucks. She holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
