Georgia-based logistics software provider CarrierPoint Inc. has launched a carrier affiliate program, which to reward carriers for referring new shippers to the CarrierPoint network.
Carriers that refer a new shipper to the network will receive referral payments for a year once a shipper becomes active with CarrierPoint.
"Over time, we've noticed that when we sign on carriers, they tend to encourage their shippers to use our software applications," said Tim Otwell, CarrierPoint's director of carrier relations. "We want to continue this upward trend and return benefits to each of our carriers for their dedication by offering them an incentive.”
Two payment options have been developed for the carriers to choose from – a percentage of the shipper's billings to be paid in a monthly check to the carrier or a percentage of the shipper's billings used as a credit toward the carrier's CarrierPoint billings.
