ChevronTexaco recently announced the formation of Gulf Lubricants Co., a ChevronTexaco company that will manufacture and market a wide range of lubricants, engine oils and greases at competitive prices. Gulf Lubricants products will be available to customers in the central U.S., with the company expanding its delivery capabilities across the country in 2002.

The company said San Ramon, CA-based Gulf Lubricants will focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and streamlining the ordering process by providing customers with Internet, telephone and fax options. On the company’s website, customers can research product details, information about delivery options and obtain comprehensive background information around the clock.

In addition, the company said it will offer a clear and open pricing policy with guaranteed freight quotes at the time of ordering and discounts available based on the volume of a customer’s total purchases. The Gulf brand was purchased by Chevron Corp. in 1985.
