Cooper says it plans to use the assets purchased from Hercules to support the growth of its tread rubber and radial medium truck tires to independent tire dealers. More than 200 former Hercules retread customers will have access to the tread rubber products through Oliver, the nation’s second largest retread supplier, which has an alliance with Cooper.

Cooper Tire services Oliver retread dealers from three U.S. distribution points: Asheboro, NC, Tupelo, MS and Salt Lake City.
