Dallas & Mavis Specialized Carrier Company has announced the appointment of Larry R. Corn as executive vp. Corn will focus on the marketing and sales of the company's ISO 9002-certified transport services throughout the U.S.

“Corn brings a vast amount of knowledge and relationships within the transportation industry that will be a great addition to our long-term and short-term growth,” said Michael Berman, president of the Wisconsin-based company.

Prior to joining Dallas & Mavis, Corn served as president & CEO of Roadrunner Trucking Inc., and Roadrunner Distribution Services Inc., which combined employed more than 1500 people and generated revenues of approximately $100 million in 2000.

Dallas & Mavis, which operates a fleet of 1,000 tractors across North America, provides flatbed and specialized services, van services, brokerage services, over-sized loads, machinery, construction equipment just-in-time, job sequence and logistic services. The company is one of the largest minority-owned carriers in the U.S.
