Cummins Chooses Switch Supplier

Index Sensors & Controls Inc. has signed a three-year agreement to supply Cummins Inc. with temperature and pressure switches on all diesel engines introduced in 2002 or earlier. Index Sensors & Controls Inc. has signed a three-year agreement to supply Cummins Inc. with temperature and pressure switches on all diesel engines introduced in 2002 or earlier. The switches will be used in 10 facilities worldwide and products began shipping in March.

“We won the business after a thorough selection process which included an on-site inspection of our engineering and production facility,” said Gary Wilson, Index marketing and sales manager. “We are pleased that we were able to meet Cummins’ demanding requirements.”

Index is a component manufacturer for engines, heavy-vehicles and industrial equipment.
